R&D
In our field trial stations, our dedicated technical team develops and evaluates feed solutions that meet the challenges our customers face now and in the future.
At Impextraco®, we are totally committed to developing innovative products which meet the demands of our wide range of customers operating in highly diverse conditions around the world. This development take place in our own labs and trial facilities that we have in Belgium and Brazil. However, collaboration with leading institutes and universities in the world is key in the development of our solutions, as with those partners we are able to establish additional knowledge about the mode of action of our solutions. Lastly, but essential is that we collaborate also with our customers to evaluate with them the benefits of our solutions under the diverse conditions we observe around the world.
We develop our products based on their in vitro and in vivo efficacy. The research in the lab is in many solutions’ development the base of the development. The first screening is always done with this in vitro work. However, lab tests do not reflect the situation in complex animal physiology. Therefore, our solutions will always be based on animal trials that show under multiple circumstances a clear benefit that enables us to show a financial benefit for our customers. The final economic benefit is a crucial step in our product development process.
Our R&D department conducts a wide range of product trials on relevant species of livestock such as pigs, poultry and cattle. These in vivo studies are designed and deployed by our technical team that consists of nutritional experts, veterinarians and species specialists.
The collaboration with leading institutes and university allows us to generate results from monofactorial trials as well as cross-functional trials which allow statistical analyses. Our state-of- the-art facilities and experimental units in Belgium and Brazil comply with strict international guidelines. In addition, Impextraco’s R&D team assists in setting up field trials in different regions worldwide in order to simulate our customers’ everyday practice.
Our R&D team will stay up to date with the most recent developments in the scientific world, that enables them to conduct both in vitro and in vivo trials that helps us to move with our solution to the next level. That means that existing solutions meet the demands of our customers around the world and that at the same time we work to the next generation to enable that we also meet the demands of tomorrow of our customers.
