Feedlatina gathers in Chile

Aiming to reach and integrate the countries of Latin America and Caribbean, the 4th edition meeting of Feedlatina was held in Santiago (Chile). With FAO RLC and IICCA and representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay debates were shared. They also finalized the pre-project: Feed & Food Safety Program for Latin America. 

Today Latin America is responsible for 17% of the worldwide production for animal feed, which achieved 126 million tons in 2010 and 144 million tons in 2011. Average growth of the market in the last 5 years was 4% per year.

Therefore these meetings are very important as they paved the way to a better collaboration within Latin American authorities involved in feed production.
